Accessibility Statement

Effective date: August 27, 2026

Good Company Collective, Inc. ("aswell") is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to our website and app.

1. Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

aswell is fully conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA, meaning the content meets all Level A and Level AA success criteria. We additionally meet the new Level AA success criteria introduced in WCAG 2.2, including target size, focus appearance, consistent help, redundant entry and accessible authentication.

2. Measures we take

To support accessibility, aswell:

  • Includes accessibility as part of our design and development process
  • Uses semantic HTML, a single main landmark per page, and ARIA only where native semantics fall short
  • Provides visible focus indicators and full keyboard operation for every interactive element, including cards and list rows
  • Maintains colour contrast of at least 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for UI components and graphics
  • Sizes interactive targets to at least 24×24 CSS pixels, with larger touch areas on mobile
  • Provides text alternatives for meaningful images and marks decorative imagery as hidden from assistive technology
  • Labels every form input and icon-only control, and announces asynchronous updates through polite live regions
  • Moves focus to the start of each step in multi-step flows such as onboarding
  • Supports password managers, pasting and a show/hide control so no memory or transcription test is required to sign in
  • Honours the operating system's prefers-reduced-motion setting
  • Reflows to a single column at 320 CSS pixels wide and at 400% zoom without horizontal scrolling
  • Includes a "skip to content" link for screen reader and keyboard users

3. Scope and dependencies

This claim covers the aswell marketing site and the aswell web application at joinaswell.com. It relies on the following, which are tested as part of each release:

  • Member-contributed content: Text alternatives for member and administrator imagery are derived from the item they belong to (for example, an event's title). Purely decorative uploads are hidden from assistive technology. Members can report content that is difficult to access and we will remediate it.
  • Maps: The community map is supplementary. Every location it shows is also available as accessible text, so no information is conveyed by the map alone.

4. Assistive technology compatibility

aswell is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:

  • Recent versions of major screen readers (VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS, TalkBack)
  • Browser zoom up to 400%, and text resized up to 200% without loss of content
  • Operating system keyboard navigation, switch access and sticky keys
  • Speech recognition software
  • High contrast, forced colours and reduced motion operating system settings

5. Feedback and contact

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of aswell. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, or need content in an alternative format, please contact us. We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within 5 business days.

6. Formal complaints

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate your complaint by contacting the appropriate regulator in your jurisdiction, including the U.S. Department of Justice under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

7. Assessment and review

aswell evaluates its conformance with WCAG 2.1 AA and the WCAG 2.2 AA additions using automated testing (axe-core run against every route of the marketing site and the signed-in application, at both desktop and 390px mobile widths) combined with manual keyboard, screen reader and zoom review. Automated testing currently reports zero violations across all tested routes. This statement is reviewed each release and updated as the product changes.

This statement is reviewed periodically. Accessibility questions can be sent to help@joinaswell.com.
